Evan Wright, UpStreet Production

EvanTheGreeterAt Access one of our top priorities is our children’s environments. We believe safety, caring leaders, biblical truth, and FUN are key elements in helping children develop a growing relationship with God. The individuals we place at the helm of Waumba Land and UpStreet believe this, too. We’re excited to formally introduce you to Evan Wright, our director of UpStreet Production.

UpStreet Production includes managing on-stage talent, lights, and sound during the large-group part of the environment. This includes working with and training our middle- and high-school Student Impact students in all areas of production. Evan believes in “pouring out your thimble.” He says, “I may not be able to teach you everything, but I’ll teach you everything I know.” According to him, this work at Access is the most amazing work he’s ever been part of.

Evan is passionate about ministry and mentoring, but he knows how to have fun, too. His first task at Access was wearing a turkey suit while singing the hit, “Call Me Maybe.” He refers to his position in UpStreet as “ringmaster of the best circus ever,” and he spends most of his weekend preparing and executing the “show.” But during the rest of his free time, Evan is an artist with experience in professional songwriting and management.

evanHumility is an important characteristic to Evan. He is motivated by humble leadership, and he knows he has found that here at Access. He describes his parents as “authentic and humble.” His mom and dad have been married for 40 years, and they have helped build his view of what relationships and service should look like.

Evan’s heart beats for the un-churched population of our area, and he loves that Access focuses its resources on connecting with people who have felt disconnected from church. If you have not had the opportunity to meet Evan yet, please make it a priority! He’ll make you laugh, he’ll inspire you, and he just might get you excited about joining him in our UpStreet mission: To guide children to put their faith in Jesus and to teach them who God is and how He wants them to live.
